Awesome performances from the latest Kasou Taisho special
The winner of the grand prize on last night’s “Kasou Taisho” (Costume Grand Prix) competition was this entry, depicting a cartoony manzai comedy routine:

What? Haven’t seen that argument, well maybe they are often blamed to copying things but there is so much original things from asia too.

Same here, never heard that before. Perhaps Yu’s talking about Japanese TV shows and their tendency to copy each other relentlessly? Though most of the copying is Japan-to-Japan, so I don’t know how well that would work in this context.

I’ve never heard Westerners say that. (Is this something someone said on 미녀들의 수다?)
If anything the West is enthralled with Asian medias, particularly the Japanese, Korean, and Hong Kong movie industries.

I mostly heard this remark from Westerners who say that the Japanese school system only requires rote memorization and no creativity. Maybe that’s what Dr. Yu was referring to.

Kid performances always seem to get the most points.
Out of those shown here, I liked the one with the donut the most. (Yes, Donut, that’s how we write it in Germany!
