Cartoon deer replaces Tsuyoshi Kusanagi

After having to pull commercials and posters for digital terrestrial TV broadcasting that used Tsuyoshi Kusanagi as a spokesman, the Japanese government has decided that they will now use a cartoony mascot in their next round of advertisements:

The government hopes that the mascot, named Chidejika (a combination of the Japanese words for terrestrial digital & deer), will live a life free of drunken nudity.

Is it wearing a leotard? I find it quite funny that it is clothed. God forbid the animal mascots are naked too…

Yup, NHK et al. are just begging for “what’s wrong with being naked?” leotard-less deer T shirts.

I mean, just using an animal (which is always naked) as a mascot would have been hypocritical enough, but putting clothes on an animal that should naturally be naked?

What are the IQs there? Did the one guy with an IQ over 80 say, “duh, hey, deer is always nekkid, we should put clothes on it!”
And every other tard on the committee replied either “Good. Perfect solution. Problem solved!” or “I want ice cream!”
