Wow this is so awesome! What is this Jinro? Does it have any links with the Korean liquor company?

Jinro shochu came to Japan 30 years ago because a Japanese liquor wholesaler was addicted to the stuff and begged to import it. Intially Jinro was a flop, but Japanese “Jinro” was modified to Japanese taste (which is to say it’s more-or-less tasteless compared to Korean Jinro).

There are a bunch of grrrreat JINRO commerials that have been shown on Japanese TV including:

I have yet to hear decent Japanese rap. Maybe the language just isn’t suited for it.

The subtle “yes we can” just put me off.

Check out a band called Yamaarashi. It’s more rock/rap than hip-hop, but there are some good flows on their album Mountain Rock.

Listen to the guys that rap to Nujabes and Nomak’s beat such as Shing02 and Eclipse. It’s simply amazing. Try “Luv Sic pt2″ for instance.

Remember people – it’s complete ok with God/Government/Mom to get complete shitfaced on Alcohol, so much so companies spend millions on encouraging you to do so.

But woe unto you if you take a quick toke from a Joint. Then you’re lumped in with Robbers, Rapists, and Murders.
