There have actually been studies where people examine how the calls of various birds in certain areas (mostly urban) have been altered to mimic everyday noises such as telephone rings and what effect these alterations have on the species.

Yeah and there are other species than parrots that can mimic things even if they’re still living in the tropics. Like I heard one that was mimicking the sound of a camera shutter o_O

Ah! That’s the other noise I was trying to remember! You’re absolutely right, it was various noises from modern civilization but the studies I saw focused primarily on telephone rings and digital camera shutter noises.
