SMAP member Tsuyoshi Kusanagi arrested for public display of loud drunken nudity
Mutantfrog Travelogue has the story:
At 3am in Hinokicho Park just outside Tokyo Midtown in Roppongi, police found a naked Kusanagi
dancingwildly making a scene (apparently not “dancing” exactly). When they told him to calm down he refused saying “What’s wrong with being naked?!” So they had no choice but to arrest him. He resisted and had to be “wrapped in a sheet” to be taken to the station. He is so ubiquitous on Japanese TV that the stations have been thrown into chaos today, in danger of having to cancel a good portion of their programming schedule and commercials (why? for some reason it is standard operating procedure to systematically blacklist a talent who runs afoul of authorities or even is caught cheating on a spouse).

No fucking way dude was just drunk. Must’ve been throwin’ back some x or something. This is hilarious. It’s also kind of shocking since his imagine is pretty far removed from that of the drunk(drugged) crazy guy dancing naked in the park.

So, are they gonna have to redo all his commercials notifying us of the changeover from analog to digital TV in 2011? Wonder if he got a fat paycheck for those ads (from our taxes and/or NHK fees?), and whether he’ll have to give it back.
Wonder if they’ll spin it that he was the victim of a spiked drink or something in Roppongi. Expect more police. Expect some kind of gaijin connection to be made in the media.

Okey, they’re not good singers (except for Kimutaku) and a couple of the can’t even dance at all but all japanese boy bands are like that so I don’t think there’s any special reason to hate SMAP in particular.
And I’d like to see a western boy bands (if there still were anyexisting ones) do a show where they make as much fun of them selves as SMAPXSMAP.
Anyways, a little drunken nudeness is always fun and I hope japanese people can see it the same way.

its well known that Kusanagi likes his alcohol so im not sure why this is that much of a surprise
he will just do a Kumi, vanish for a month then he and all his adverts will be back.

People mostly easily judge other people…
Kusanagi did unexpected things but he did not killed or rape anybody…
Of what had happened, I think He is an ordinary person who make mistakes like us.
We should not pull down people who is in this kind of situations…
He needs understanding from people.
