Takeuchi Taijin’s amazing stop-motion animation short “A wolf loves pork,” created with lots of photographs placed around his apartment:

At first I photographed stop motion　animation. And I displayed the photographs in my room and photographed it again.　Enjoy a connection with the world of the room and the world in the photograph.

That’s really cool! I had a question though… why was there an additional sink on top of the toilet’s water tank?

Many toilets/sinks are like that. Welcome to the world of tomorrow.

That’s actually for a different kind of “bathroom” where the toilet is in a different place from the bathtube. The toilet compartment only has the toilet therefore that kind of watertank is useful for washing your hands after you’ve done your “business”.

Oh and it saves up water. The water in which you wash your hands goes inside the watertank (it has a hole) and is used to flush the toiled.

I like this work, and I rated it 5 stars on YouTube. And at first watching this vid. I thought : “Jesus, how many shots/photos he printed to do all this animation??”. Probably it was not a cheap project….

Is that ~exact~ room layout and bathroom common in Japan? Because that room, the bathroom, everything is 100% identical to the dorms that I stayed at, except for the wood-like floors.
