North Korea is about to launch its rocket, and Japan’s armed forces are ready to shoot it down if it fails and starts falling towards Japanese territory. Keep your eyes on the TV set for emergency broadcasts about the launch.

To prepare for the inevitable battle against the Norks, one man in Aomori Prefecture has built his own private military base:

Hideyoshi Hashiba, who owns a construction company and hotel in Aomori, has spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to build a mock military base with fake missile defenses. Hashiba drives around in a tank-like vehicle equipped with fake weapons and a fake radar system.

In addition to his construction company work, he also owns and manages a hotel resembling Tokyo’s Diet Building, with each room having a government ministry name instead of a room number. Apparently he has shut down the hotel as a safety precaution, but he has plans to re-open it after the latest North Korean missile threat is finished.

More photos of his crazy missiles can be found on DayLife.com.
