the 3d Miku could’ve been done better.

Quite interesting..I’ve always wondered about the possibilities with synthetic vocals.

Not only does it sound very artificial, I might not have guessed completely synthesised but definitely modified by digital means.

Also she sounds terribly annoying. I couldn’t take any more than 2 mins before turning off the sound.

　When a newspaper reports news, it should not only be responsible for the accuracy of the information, but also for the implication such reporting might bring.

　This video reports on a computer music software officially sold only in Japan. It describes in detail, how the software users are able to showcase their talents, with some even landing a recording contract. However, what this report fails to mention is the fact that although 40,000 copies of the software were sold, 10,000 copies are illegally downloaded to this day. Even though this software is not officially sold outside of Japan, there are English language hacks available on the Internet as well.

　The irony of the story is that the software both showcases the good and bad of Internet use. Because of the software, those with musical talents, animation talents, etc can collaborate through the Internet to create art. On the other hand, that same software is illegally distributed through the Internet.

　If the newspaper is reporting in English about this software, I believe the newspaper has a journalistic responsibility to also report on the dark side. I do not condone illegal downloading. I fear because of this video, more illegal downloading will take place. Journalism must report accurately, it must also report responsibly.
