Professor Juzhanin

A Finnish pianist has been arrested for shoplifting in Kanagawa Prefecture:

According to Atsugi Police Station, Nikita Juzhanin, a 69-year-old Finnish pianist who served as a professor at the university-level music college, stole 19 items by putting them into his bag Monday evening at Mycal Atsugi Saty, a shopping mall in the city.

The value of the goods, which included polo shirts and earrings, totaled about 27,000 yen.

Juzhanin, who had 300,000 yen on him at the time of the theft, told police that he did it to experience the thrill of stealing.

That will be the finnish of his career in Japan.

He stole 19 objects, making him a 十数犯人 -> jusuhannin -> Juzhanin.

Thank you, thank you, I’ll be here all night.

And this reminded me about the story I heard from a cop about a decade ago, that they catched quite a lot of Aeroflot crew for shop lifting in Japanese super markets back in the good old Soviet days.

first of all Nikita is east and middle european form of greek name Νικητές. it was became popular because of famous orthodox christian dude.

second Finnland was 300 years inside of russian empire. russian orthodox church is very big there.

third he will not be kicked out because he will pay the bill and everyone will forget about.

and finaly he is not Winona Ryder and Japan is not USA.

What? Get your facts right. Finland was an autonomous grand duchy of Russia only in the 19th century and the local orthodox church is almost nonexistent.

Japan is too trusting – I’ve never seen any security measures in stores other than the occasional security guard chillin’ near the entrances of department stores. I’m sure it would be a dream come true for kleptos…
