Disposing of counterfeit brand products
Authorities invited the press along to film the disposal of some 10,000 counterfeit brand products:
The items shown in the above Fuji TV clip were confiscated by Tokyo customs officials between November 2008 and February 2009. Most of the counterfeit items came from China.

I saw the news story on a different station last night, and it said 80% of the counterfeit goods are from both China and Korea combined, not just China.

Maybe Tokyo gets more counterfeit goods from Korea? This network said 82% of all counterfeit goods seized nationwide in 2008 were of Chinese origin:
http://headlines.yahoo.co.jp/videonews/fnn/20090312/20090312-00000054-fnn-soci.html
Probably on national level, 80% came from China, but in case of the Tokyo Custom House reported on Nihon TV, 80% came from China and Korea combined.・・・・I am not sure though.

Japan Customs and Tokyo Customs give me the same results:
China is 67.6% not 80%. Qorea has dropped from its previous high by 26%.
Anyway, there is something we have been missing if we read the reports carefully. There is a difference between 点数 and 件数. NTV mentions 点数 of 380,000 individual items brought in, of which China and Qorea make up 80%. The Official Customs report does not talk about 点数 for China and Qorea, just 件数 – the number of incidents (eaach person smuggling fake brands was smuggling an average of 33 items).
Something the news left out of the Finance Ministry report:
平成20年に税関において輸入が差し止められた知的財産侵害物品の総価額(正規品であった場合の推計価格)は約206億円であり、前年の約385億円から大幅に減少しました。

平成20年における知的財産侵害物品の差止状況(詳細)
http://www.mof.go.jp/jouhou/kanzei/chizai/ka210306a.htm
On a kensuu base, Chian accounts for about 80%
But on a tensuu base,
China 74.1%
Korea 11.6%
So the amount combined is roughly about 80%. So perhaps this is what NTV was talking about.

Typical attempt of Japanese media to depict Koreans in a bad shadow, it’s funny they always categorize Koreans with qinese when mentioning foreign crimes when qinese crimes far surpass that of Koreans. how about mentioning Brazilians and qinese instead? Also since when Korea is known for making counterfeit products?

YouTube is US. You also asked “Also since when Korea is known for making counterfeit products?” The number of links shows that it is well-established. You never asked for precise percentages.

Your claim was that Japanese media mentioning Korea as one of the countries that produce counterfeit goods was a typical Japanese attempt to depict Koreans in a bad shadow. I showed that other countries also listed Korea as such and asked if they were typical attempt to show Koreans in a bad show. You haven’t answered the question.
If you are interested in how much %, ask them.
For your information, as far as Japan is concerned, in 2004, Korea was the No. 1 offender when it comes to counterfeit goods.(see the link I gave to the overthinker), but Korea has dropped since then and now China is No 1.
I don’t forget it, but that is irrelevant. Besides it is imaginable since many countries list China as No 1 offender now when it comes to counterfeit goods.
I guess you don’t want Japanese media.
A few years ago, Japanese media was filled with Hanryu(韓流)and it still often reports Korean entertainers. That is one reason why there are many Japanese fans of them. For that matter, Japanese media also reports cross-cultural festivals between Japan and Korea and how to help reconstruct Namdaemun etc. Don’t Korean media report these?

R.: “Also since when Korea is known for making counterfeit products?”
Have you ever been to Namdaemun? I could practically fill my enormous Korean-style closet with “brand clothes” for like a quarter of a month’s hagwon salary.
I used to live on the southern tip of South Korea in Gyeongnam up until almost exactly one year ago, and the streets were packed with fake brand goods, mostly Nike and Puma. And the thing is – The people selling the clothes give full disclosure of that fact with no embarrassment. It’s no secret – They sell fake brand clothing.
