Haha this is great. Other actors/english speaking celebrities always seem so alienated and terrified on Japanese television.

Surprisingly entertaining. I may despise the vast majority of this man’s films but I have to admit that he does seem like he’d be pretty damn charming in real life.

Incredibley charming man, very funny, very respectful, very versatile, an all round entertainer. Case in point – Japanese TV – what a warm and inviting man to have that whole crowd in his hand without speaking a word of Japanese!

It was cool to see them all just having fun interacting despite the language gap and, also, having a translator with him on screen. On a lot of shows, SMASMA etc., they have interviews w foreign stars and cut out the all the footage of the translator doing their job… so all you see is a question asked by the Japanese star in Japanese and answered by the foreign star in thier native language (with subtitles). I think the translators should get some notoriety too!! They deserve it!

Isn’t notoriety a bad thing?
