Think of the publicity. Anglophones who weren’t familiar with the site would laugh their asses off at the serendipity of a toilet being sponsored by “Japan Probe.” Those who were familiar with it would laugh even harder.

Think about it, man.

Putting a photo of PM Aso in the urinal would be a hoot. No doubt his family deserves it. Putting photos of PM Aso on the wall would be disastrous because the urine would never hit the urinal.

And calling the toilet “pee on Japanese bureaucrat” would make it a world heritage site faster than Fuji-san.

Unfortunately we are talking about the gov’t in Tokyo. Osaka people have a great sense of humor. Tokyo well it’s only explainable using terminology from Charles Darwin.

Since sense of humor != money they don’t hold your breathe waiting for something interesting to happen.
