He abused his wife in Japan, she left him, he then agreed to meet her at the train station and get her a flight back to the Philippines. He met her and instead took her to a house, stripped her, raped her repeatedly for a few days and beat her. She barely escaped with her life. Or so she says//////////////

This case is not about nationality; It’s about whatever measures to prevent this incident in getting any worse. If a person abuses another, it will be an irresistable pleasure; a sensual gratification that if left unhandled, may result into severe consequences so I think the man deserves to be banned.

As long as due process was followed, there would be no problem.
The question is if this Japanese man was arrested and tried in Japan (or in Philippines) or if it is just a claim by his Filipino wife.
But come to think of it, perhaps Japan should ban “an undesirable alien” based on the complaint by a private citizen—-just kidding.(^^;)

as you see this case has nothing to do with nationality, i too wouldn´t let a known rapist into my country.
