Okay, now I want these poems for my house — seriously. My kids can learn Japanese and a useful message, all at the same time.

I have translated three of the poems. Translations may be incorrect, but they would show how they are like.

I’m with Haf here; I think this is a great idea. Just as installing sound machines in women’s toilets has saved many cubic litres of water, this ‘poem in a toilet’ idea may save some trees. And talk about bringing the arts to the masses!

But think about how much paper you can save by hanging ONE sheet of paper in a highly frequented public restroom for a while.

I’d say the saving largely outweighs the initial cost of the printed paper.
