A liberal Economist’s take on Japan and immigration

yes “productivity growth” [i.e. the free market making itself more efficient through management techniques, inventory control, infomation tech, engineering advances, and just people working more efficiently] has been the fuel making the economy of many countries to expand fast enough to still support ever-increasing tax burdens and social programs. Left-wing thought has been able to count on business and individuals with nicely increasing salaries on the whole to make ends meet for decades. And it worked until 2009. Atlas has shrugged.

But if it is failing in the USA, it must be worse in Japan.
Is Japanese management more efficient?
Are Japanese employees more productive?
Does Japan CHANGE to solve new problems more readily?
Is he burden of social programs smaller in Japan?
Is corruption exposed and rooted out better in Japan?

You can answer those yourselves.

And the J government’s main plan to increase productivity with a dwindling labor pool, without increasing the need to let more dirty gaijin criminals in? Robots!
Seriously. More robots. Do robots pay income tax? Pension tax? Health insurance dues?

Oh well, when I hear “liberal economist” it has the same ring as “creationist archaeologist” or “Flat-Earth astronomer” to me.

Someone please explain to me how we can sucessfully have more and more living off the taxes of fewer and fewer in the giant Ponzi scheme of socialism? It doesn’t even work now, as the huge debts show us.
