Some of you probably haven’t noticed, but it’s actually quiet good for freigners, making good pr for us, and the cigaretts. For the people participatin in the video it’s win win.

I have absolutely no problem with letting people smoke if they want to though I also approve of keeping the smoke away from non-smokers in public locales. I do, however, have a major problem when companies/corporations/industries with less-than-glowing histories try to BS the public with PR campaigns such as these. It’s like saying someone’s a great guy because he gave you a lollipop after he shot you.

What paperback rule?

On topic: Saw this commercial and I did a double take, WTF gaijin. Why? I would love to hear the reasoning at JT’s ad agency behind this one. Then again it strangely matches up with the recent Uniqlo ad with the circus performers.

Didn’t think I’d have to explain this one…there is no paperback rule. Thomas was alluding to the fact that in most places in the US, it is illegal to consume alcohol in public so some people will carry around their booze in paper bags. I was just making fun of him for misspelling paper bags.

My agency offered me a spot in that commercial and I turned them down FLAT. As if any self-respecting person would tout tobacco!
