Actually, static electricity is a problem in Japan in the winter, when it is cold and dry. It’s particularly a problem in electronics factories (which Japan has a lot of).

We used to do this all the time at school. Combination of plastic or rubber soled shoes and plastic carpets. We would just scuff our feet around for a bit, then unleash a mini lightning bolt on an unsuspecting victim.
There is the same problem in my offices now. I often wonder about the cost-effectiveness of combining a cheap plastic carpet and £100,000 worth of computer hardware. Fortunately we haven’t blown anything up so far.

What was wrong with him in the first place– why the bandage on his wrist? And why does he want someone he has no spark with?

The 2nd shocker girl has a great reaction. Very old school comedic. The 1st girls reaction almost seems Japanese. Maybe she’s been in Japan for a while. Good stuff.

Leave it to the Japanese to think of something like this.
I never get bored watching their CMs and their tv programs, especially those comedy and game shows.

Wow, I just realized it’s italian lyrics on a bossanova-sort of tune! The spelling is absolutely crazy … at first I couldn’t understand phrases I only caught words here and there and I thought it was brasilian!! Ahah… That’s why I LOVE JAPAN!!
