Skipping breakfast linked to teen sex
This survey covered a wider range of issues, but Kyodo’s report seems to have focused on the connection between breakfast and sex:
A recent national poll of around 1,500 people has shown that those who skipped breakfast in their early teens first had sexual intercourse at an average age of 17.5 years, earlier than 19.4 for those who had breakfast every day and an average 19 for all those polled, according to a health ministry study panel.
A few paragraphs down they also mentioned this connection:
Those who said they do not have happy memories of family life or those who expressed feelings of hatred toward their mothers also had a tendency to first have sexual intercourse early, the poll suggested.
Those who said they dislike their mothers first had intercourse at an average age of 16, compared with 18.6 for those who said they hated their fathers.

How to get up, eat breakfast and get ready for work in 5 minutes |

The connection is simple:
Skipped breakfast = concerned about dieting = not a geek = sexually active
Eats properly = conservative, not fashion-conscious = geek = virgin
Now all I need to do is start asking joshi daisei if they had breakfast before I proposition them….

I’m going to assume this comment is a joke.. Skipping breakfast is a terrible way to diet (and live life in general).
Remember kids, breakfast is brainfood!

This article is dumb. We already knew warped kids get it on young.

I agree, it’s all part of a pattarn for a quicker, shorter life span.

What pattern? Do you have the historical data that links lifespan and breakfast habits on hand?
You could just as easily argue that more people are having sex earlier as they subconsciously try to make up for the declining birthrate.

FAIL.
You can correlate the decrease of pirates worldwide to global warming, but that doesn’t mean that it is an accurate interpretation of statistics.

I think pirates are actually increasing, not decreasing.

Correlation does not necessarily equal causation!
However, perhaps there is a link between skipping meals and unhappy families, and consequently age of first sexual encounters. For example, perhaps the teens want to get out of the house quickly in the mornings, or their parents don’t care enough to ensure they start the day with a nutritious breakfast e.t.c.

I asked around and got 8 out of 10 fitting this pretty well, kinda funny. I don’t buy the unhappy family thing though
