Regarding health issues in general – Are you insinuating that health only involves food? Japan and the U.K. have nearly the same smoking rates, which are higher than the U.S. You can die of a heart attack or from lung cancer, take your pick.

The life expectancy at birth of both the U.K. and the U.S. are the same. Japan’s is still higher (by 4 years).

Good luck with that though.

It takes years of effort to change your body. Fat people work harder at being fat than body builders work at being healthy. They devote every day to laziness, poor eating choices and excuse making.

Is it a sign of the times where people are overworked and do not have time or are too tired to cook a healthy meal?

I hate McDonald’s and avoid it like the plague. But with the change in the economy people will consider it to be an economic life saver.

The sad thing is they don’t realize how it is even possible for the food to be so cheap. Massive overproduction is the key. Whenever you hear “we have to feed the world” lines it is coming from the food industry to stimulate overproduction, driving down the costs of the basic ingredients fast food uses.

Fast food is actually bad for the economy, something people don’t realize. I’m not surprised though because people either don’t care or don’t realize that it’s also bad for their bodies.

Translation = Japan is gettin fat.
