For some reason, I rarely find, for instance, Japanese Americans, Japanese in the U.S. “spitting venom;on the contrary, they are proud of U.S. That is a great thing, I think.

It is Monmonga whose husband is Korean that brought up and blamed Japanese to solve her problem.
I blamed her generalization about Japanese. I talked about some Koreans and Europeans and Americans and about my experience with Japanese Americans, Japanese abroad to refute her comment.

To avoid misunderstanding I noted that I knew there were many respectable Koreans and whites.

You say Japanese expats are negative towards Japan.
That’s why personal experiences do not count, because they are often misled by skewed nihonjinron and bias.

I should add that another key issue among the Japanese expats I have know in the US (who do not want to return) is the school issue. The ones that have kids with them in the US do not want their kids to enter (or re-enter) the Japanese school system.

No it is you who have generalized the fate of Japanese women from your personal experience, did you forget?
I stated my experience to refute your generalization, to show limited personal experience is not reliable enough to generalize.
It tells that you have such experience, I am sure there are such Japanese as you described, but that is all about it. Experience is limited and influenced by his/her bias and so it does not count as evidence for generalization. And if, in this case, it is not meant as a generalization but just an opinion, well okay but it is not balanced. Some other persons from her limited experience might form an opinion that “Japanese expats who live and work in the US tend to be quite” positive “towards Japan”,(which is in substance what momonga is saying)

To blame, according to merriam-webster dictionary, is to find fault with. Is Ultra-nationalistic, for instance not fault ?

Your problem is that perhaps shocked by the comment the guy might be Korean , you tried to deny it not just by saying, for instance, that you didn’t think his accent was Korean, but by stating, how Japanese are filled with hatred. It is needless to say that the reasoning is flawed—there are other nationals that fit your description and not all Japanese are like that;therefore, your conclusion does not follow. In order to draw the conclusion you want, you had to bring up your skewed image of Japanese with flawed reasoning— that, I am afraid, is your problem.

Anyway, it is interesting one person says from his experience that Japanese expats are negative toward Japan, another from huge experience says that Japanese expats are ultra nationalistic, in other words, too positive towards Japan.
I guess it is safe to say that they are unbalanced at best.
Though unbalanced opinion is not itself nihonjin-ron, but it suggests it might be influenced by skewed nihonjin-ron.

And I agree with letimov that “Nihonjinron BS should be challenged and ridiculed whenever spotted”.

I just remarked many instances cases that I have seen that are consistent with an ongoing portrayal in the media and in common knowledge about a fairly specific topic (workplace). I am not hiding the fact that I did so. But you are. Perhaps my comments were too strong for you or you don’t like the source so you decided that you agree with me generally but wished to argue somewhat anyway since one (1) OL you had talked to did not experience any discrimination. If you want to believe what I have said is not representative of anything – that is about OLs or Japanese expats in the US and don’t want to return for fear of being ostracized as a “difficult” returnee and don’t want their kids in Japanese schools – well, its your life man. But please consider that you may have your nationalistic goggles on a bit tight if you do that, which prevents objectivity.

It works to refute the claim about the uniform fate of the Japanese OL. It does not count as an evidence for the claim that all Japanese OL are uniformly not discriminated.

Well Momonga disagrees, She said　from her “huge experience” Japanese expats are rather ultra-nationalistic, too positive towards Japan.
And I didn’t say what you said is not true, I said I am sure there are such Japanese as you described but I just reserve judgement they are representative;I can’t say because I don’t have any statistics on that.
