How to beat Sazae-san at rock-paper-scissors
For the last 40 years, a cartoon called Sazae-san has been airing every Sunday night from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. on FTV. Since 1991, every episode has ended with Sazae-san challenging viewers to a rock-paper-scissors battle.
As part of their coverage marking 40 years of Sazae-san, FTV news went through the archive of all 863 episodes aired since 1991 to determine Sazae-san’s rock-paper-scissors strategy.
The results were as follows:
- Scissors – 300 times
- Paper – 283 times
- Rock – 280 times
