It’s closer. It’s cheaper. It’s occupied by America. (But, I’ve also heard it’s hot as Hades.)

How many people go to Hawaii for the history? I’m pretty sure beaches and hotels are the main attraction for most tourists.

I don’t get why Guam is so high on the list. My wife has suggested going to Guam or Saipan several times. I’m all for seeing new places, but what the hell is there to see out there? It sounds like Hawaii only with less historical and cultural points of interest.
