Japan’s shortest river (13.5 meters)

    Some folks in Wakayama Prefecture have officially registered a tiny “river” as Japan’s shortest river:


    Named the Butsubutsugawa, the river runs a mere 13.5 meters before merging with a larger river. Prior to this official announcement, a 30 meter long river in Hokkaido had held the the “shortest river” title.
