Endless PeriPeri toy simulates the feel of opening cardboard boxes

October 3rd, 2008 by James

Bandai is hoping to build on the success of its bubble wrap simulator and Endless Soybean by releasing a new toy in the “endless” product line:

periperi

This toy is called Endless PeriPeri (Mugen PeriPeri), and it’s meant to simulate the feel of opening the cardboard boxes that cookies and other snack food are packaged and sold in at supermarkets. “PeriPeri” is an onomatopoeic replication of the sound of opening such a package.

A music video commercial for the Endless PeriPeri can be seen at its official homepage. The Endless PeriPeri will hit stores across Japan on November 22nd and will cost a little less than 1000 yen.

Hopefully it’s better than Mugen Puchi. It doesn’t feel anything like bubblewrap.

Yea, but can it simulate the joy of opening a box of tampons?
