Video: Water biking and other wackiness

Last night, TBS aired its DOORS 2008 special, which consisted of a series of obstacle courses and challenges for celebrities. Here are a few clips from last night’s broadcast.

Clip 1: The first stage of DOORS

This portion of DOORS put celebrities into a combination of a video game obstacle course and a watered-down SASUKE/Ninja Warrior course.

Clip 2: Water Biking

Attempting to ride a bicycle across a plastic pontoon bridge. (See the 2007 version of this challenge!)

At one point, they used a random black guy (“Carl Lewis”) to demonstrate the

Loved this show, although I missed the end so I’m not sure who won. If they can have SASUKE twice a year, I don’t see why they can’t pull this show off every six months.

It kind of dragged during the Water Jump part. Too many interviews. Just jump!

Wakky and Kojima Yoshio reached the finals (the sudden death ball drop thing). Yoshio was sweating like mad and missed on his first try. Wakky got one in on the first ball.

According to wikipedia (yes, I know) some of the same people who worked on the obstacles for Kinniku Banzuke designed the obstacles for DOORS (the ones who didn’t move on to Monster 9 and SASUKE I guess).
