Korean host clubs raided in Tokyo

September 11th, 2008 by James

Japanese immigration authorities raided two popular Korean host clubs yesterday. Here’s a video showing some footage of the raid:

About 30 men were arrested, and 20 others were turned over to immigration. Most of the men apprehended were either overstaying visas or illegally working on tourist visas. Included among them was a player for a J-league soccer club.

All those knife attacks are starting to make foreigners look good!

Better keep those foreigner crime statistics up boys.

Guess some police captain’s wife got too obsessed with Yon-sama and he needed some revenge.

My question..if they sent 20 to immigration, what are the other 30 under arrest for? the same petty sex crimes Japanese hosts are committing but apparently NOT being arrested en masse for?

Well 50 arrests of gaijin is sure to add a healthy fraction of a percent to those gaijin crime stats. Must be off-target for their first half of the fiscal year goal which ends in 3 weeks.

Wow, I didn’t even think they were illegal. What law were the non-illegals breaking?

I know one of them can be charged with playing soccer.

I suppose the other 29 are going to be charged with illegally playing ‘away matches’.

Amusing.

Many not guilty of overstaying visas were probably violating the terms of their tourist visas by working. The soccer player was likely engaging in a line of work not permitted by his particular work visa.

Haha. Those women in the clubs getting angry and fighting police for their lil’ boy toys! Metrosexual host fad needs to die. It’s like they haven’t seen that Southpark episode.

If you could make 1 million yen a month doing it, maybe you’d get your hair done all fancy and wear foundation, too.

media is a powerful weapon to destroy the image of the people. There are many Koreans who make a good thing in Japan and I apreciate it, but unfortunatelly Japanese media shows bad image about them. That is regretable!!
