Asakusa Samba Carnival 2008

The 28th annual Asakusa Samba was held over the weekend in Tokyo. As this FTV news video shows, the rain let up just in time for the festivities:

Actually, the rain poured and poured for quite a lot of the parade. At least for 30 minutes towards the final stage of the parade it was raining cats and dogs. The dancers were walking around in soaking wet costumes (Not what you’re thinking).

I was crazy enough to stand out there on the street watching in the pouring rain. But it was fun.

However, there should be a law against hentai otaku taking hours of home video only of the samba dancers’ asses!

Everyone should be dancing! The Asakusa Samba Carnival is for old perves!
