Woman climbs radio tower in Yokohama

Rescue workers saved a 20 year-old woman who had climbed up a radio tower in Yokohama yesterday evening:

Police were alerted the the woman’s presence on the tower by an emergency call from a passerby, and it took about 2 hours for a rescue team to get her down. The woman told rescue workers that she had climbed the tower after having a fight with her mother.

Well, the samurai spirit continues to live on… I wonder if there will ever be a day when the Japanese realize that suicide is not the answer. That’s the only thing that I despise about the Japanese culture.

Japan suicide rate isnt much different from anywhere else.
24 per 100,000 people per year
usa is 11 per 100,000
russia 34 per 100,000
You make it sound like they are jumping off towers for every little problem.
Japan has oldest living population in the world, seems like they have a pretty strong will to live long and healthy lives.
Maybe you should remove that “only thing” of your list.
