Hiroshima Day 2008

Today is the 63rd anniversary of the US atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Below are a few relevant news stories and editorials:

As the John Pilger article notes, the NYT reported “NO RADIOACTIVITY IN HIROSHIMA RUIN” in 1945. That was even after they had eyewitness accounts from their own reporters telling otherwise.

Nowadays, the corporate media is even more dishonest and complicit in spreading disinformation.

Now they try to scare us with terrorism, when in fact ABC, NBC, CNN, FOX and the NYT are the real terrorists for convincing our society that wars of aggression, nuclear weapons and hundreds of billions in military spending are necessary for America’s safety. That kind of thinking has caused immeasurable suffering around the world, including the unnecessary dropping of atomic bombs… which because of their propaganda, many Americans still defend.

It’s a sad day for koreans too since thousand of koreans died as well. RIP to them.

And still many americans are proud of this event that killed thousand of thousands of civilians. Pearl Harbor was nothing compared to this sad event, and they show a movie there that show Pearl Harbor as if it were more terrible than Hiroshima and Nagasaki. That is regretable!!
