Chinese panda bot greets tourists

A Japanese news report about an Olympic mascot robot at the Beijing Capital International Airport:

The robot can converse with visitors in simple Chinese or English, and it can also greet foreign tourists in several other languages, including Japanese.

It really doesn’t surprise me that this made the news in Japan. Japanese pop culture just loves cuteness. Funny how no American would care enough to take this robot as nothing more than, ” hey thats kinda cool” and walk by

Don’t sell the Americans short, they have the HomicideBot, the TheifBot and the always popular RapeBot. Now for boys too!
