So, Richard, you’re admitting that what you, and people like you, are really interested in is maintaining America’s dominance, not cooperating with other countries – and moreover, that you see other countries as hostile to and in competition with America. Well, at least SOME Americans are honest! Honest about their “altruistic” foreign aid, honest about their alliances, honest about what the US is really doing in Iraq.

Vote for McCain if you want – the US economy is entering a recession, America’s “mighty” armed forces can’t defeat a bunch of insurgents, and America’s reputation is at an all-time low, even if you do.

Except for Obama, of course. He can save the US’s rep. You don’t care about this, but maybe you should.

Obama strikes me as an idiot and McCain as tyrannical-geriatric authoritarian, but really there is little if any difference between the two. Both will continue most of Bush’s policy’s regardless of what they say publicly.

Richard: The world doesn’t want the U.S. to fail. You’re confusing “other countries” with “extremists”. If the U.S. continues to backslide economically, it’ll negatively affect all countries that it does trade with, which is why leaders of countries like South Korea are willing to take a hit to their national image by supporting shady economical deals.

Oh wow. Just wow. Is America really that full of itself? And a lot of Americans wonder why there is an undercurrent of hatered for America across the globe. It isn’t military and economic power, it is what America does with that power (plus the attitude that America is “all that”). And after Bush, it is no wonder that the rest of the world is looking the other way.

Consider this:

When citizens of other countries think about the U.S., do you believe they are thinking, “Oh, I sure hope that America gets more militarily and economically powerful!” or do you think they’d rather have the U.S. taken down a peg or two?

When I read the polls about which leader other countries want for the U.S., I know to vote the other way.

Most people see McCain as a continuance of GW’s current policies. For the most part that is a correct assumption. I voted for GW (as Governor and President) I still liked what he did as Texas’ Governor but as a President he’s a bust.

This time I’m not voting for either candidate. Obama seems like a good guy but no one really knows what he is all about. His stated goals are very lacking in specifics. I think his overall positive message combined with the ineptness of the 2nd Bush administration are going to do well for him in the general election. As for McCain, well he is the end result of a Republican party that has strayed way to far from their conservative roots. If they had followed that conservative path, we wouldn’t be in a lot of the messes we’re in now.

@oskinny1: You are correct. I think that is one of the reasons Obama has tried to keep this election off race (not playing the race card) that is more reason he has been successful. As I said, I actually like the guy just not his politics. That said, his eventual election (I do think he’ll win) isn’t going to kill this country. Heck, it might serve as the kick in the ass the Republicans sorely need.

Most countries also favored Gore and were against invading Iraq, guess they were right about those, maybe the US should listen to them once in awhile.

Loooks like left-wing media worldwide are spreading the Obamania. Whereas right-wing countries controlled by Islam (INCLUDING FRANCE, HAHA) will of course choose the guy who may-or-may-not-be Moslem because of his name. It’s funny how most countries favor Obama — since their opinions aren’t the ones that count. After knowing the final two candidates, I expected that the election this year will be fifty-fifty. Who the candidates will choose as their running mates is what I believe will turn the tide.
