The oldest mammal fossil in Japan

A photo of a jaw bone fossil recently found in Hyogo Prefecture:

Experts believe it came from a mammal that lived about 140 million years ago, which would make it the oldest mammal fossil ever found in Japan.

huh… I guess even 140 million years ago people in Japan owned one of those little apartment dogs…
