I don’t know if this is a parody of foreigners speaking Japanese or rather Japanese speaking English

this is funny. americans sound like them when they speak japanese but the comedians japanese is easier to understand.

I disagree with Kenji’s point but I kind of see what he was trying to say before he lost touch w reality. I’m more inclined to side with Steve above if he wasnt being so snide.

^^ That’s different from one race dressing up as and imitating another whether by intonation or face paint. We used to have that kind of humor in the US, however it is not in practice any more because… it’s racist and hurtful.

^^ racist people have the right to this in the privacy in their own homes and at venues that condone it. But, with this clip being on national TV, reinforcing stereotypes about foreigners who speak Japanese and literally sending racist messages to all age groups, there is no excuse.

steve (above) was right when he said wrongs can’t be righted by wrongs. Japanese need to grow up, period.

One more thing… seeing a grown Japanese man put on ‘blackface’ to pretend to be Barack Obama is repulsive. Have a little self-respect. Anyways, any comedian who ever needs wigs, props or make-up to be funny already lost.
