I just noticed Anki is 100mb! On Mac OS X at least… That’s a bit excessive for a flash card program.

That was probably the best youtube video i have ever seen (content wise) though it puts spears in my heart to see the video so laggy and so buggy, but that is just a little price for some great info!

Also for linux people there is a program called Kanatest programmed by some polish guys, it can easily be installed in ubuntu, or downloaded from their site. and this is linux only…

Also – it was on time that some of all the Japanese learning / language tools got gathered together, you might consider make a whole new site with all kinds of links and helpful guides for learning Japanese, maybe a forum too, and irc/live chat.

Thanks for all the info. Just want to add that I prefer Pop Jisyo (http://www.popjisyo.com) to Rikaichan because you can use it to get popup translations of Japanese text copy-pasted from emails, Word docs, Powerpoint, etc. Unless I’m missing something, Rikaichan works only on text inside web pages.

aside from class materials from my jap courses i also listen to japanesepod101. Really good website for conversational japanese and you can also sign up for premium acc. for grammar and indepth japanese program but those cost money.

Thanks a bunch Claytonian. I tried to get rikaichan working a few months ago but gave up. Just got it installed now, and you’re right… it’s probably the best Japanese language tool in the net. ^_^

Lately I haven’t found many good Japanese language sites. I use stumbleupon to find japanese stuff, but it’s mostly just flashcards and basic grammar.

http://nihongoperapera.com/dirty-guide-japanese.html This site I found quite good for people who can’t seem to learn Japanese the “conventional” way. It’s quite good to just blast through in one sitting.

I guess that’s it from me.
