Honda Motor has sniffed out a rare growing demographic in Japan: the pet owner.
Japanese now have more dogs and cats than children under 15, and the nation’s No. 2 is using bells and whistles like the Internet, or cars with detachable, easy-to-clean seats, to throw them a bone.
Dogs are indeed a cheaper alternative to having children…maybe it isn’t such a huge surprise that Japanese car companies are moving in this direction. Here are the Honda Dog website and Toyota’s “C Loves Dog” website, both mentioned in the video. Apparently…dog owners also favor orange color schemes? Hmmm.
