This is a popular flash game, but it was previously only available in Japanese (this developer usually translates their other games into English too, so check them out). The wiki is still only available in Japanese though. That’s right, 4-bit though this game may appear, it has a lot to it. So let me give you some advice. This game will steal all your free time (luckily it auto-saves so you can quit to lead a life), but you can finish it faster if you get gold and avoid the harder monsters until late in the game. Mod your sword once you can to strategically slice and dice. One of the best ways to get gold initially is to defeat the 4th boss with buffed magic; it only takes a second once your magic is up to snuff. Remember that Effrit is only vulnerable to weapons modded with his weakness. Get the cat companion once you reach area 12. Once you have the snow area unlocked, click around to discover a secret level where the enemies drop lots of gold. It gets better in the next snow area with another hidden level. After killing a certain boss, the white pyramids will open up. Fight your doppleganger to win the most ginormous sword. Get the seeker (100 mill, occasionally appears in the town on the 8th area). Keep going to the wastes until you have enough money to buff up and win. Avoid killing monsters with legendary names until you encounter them in the wastes later; they’re not worth it until then.
With this advice, it will still take you a week to kill the official last boss. Consider yourself warned about time consumption.
