It&#039;s so frustrating.  
Whenever I start shopping for airline tickets, I immediately double whatever price I see, which is pretty much accurate.</description>

		<description>In Europe airlines have to quote their prices to consumers including ALL taxes. This way you can immediately see how much your ticket really costs.

Just like adding consumer taxes etc. to all other consumer goods is obligatory in Europe and in Japan.</description>

		<description>HIS has a nice chart of fuel surcharges by airline and destination. As expected, JAL likes to gouge as much as possible. ANA likes to as well.

This can make a significant difference to the base price, and one airline that looks cheaper can actually end up being more expensive. 

The whole thing is a damned gouge as airlines want to fool the public into thinking they&#039;re a lot less than they actually are. It can add over 50% to the ticket price.</description>
