Chinese student murdered in Osaka

Police have arrested a Japanese man who they believe is responsible for the beating death of a Chinese student:
The suspect was identified as Takashi Osuga, 23, an unemployed resident of Amagasaki.
Police have learned that Shi Xiaoning, who was attending graduate school at Wakayama University, had been beaten in the head at a club in Chuo Ward, Osaka, about 10 days before he was found dead in his apartment March 19.
Investigators suspect Shi was assaulted by Osuga at the club and died of the injuries after returning to his apartment.
The police have obtained testimony from employees at the club that Shi was hit in the head from behind with an empty champagne bottle after having a quarrel with Osuga in the early hours of March 8. Shi was knocked unconscious but soon came to, and when an employee offered to call a taxi for him to get home, he declined and left the club, the police said.
Police were alerted by a professor at the university that Shi had failed to show up for an appointment. When officers visited the apartment, he was found dead on his futon.
Osuga told police that he attacked Shi because he was angry that the Chinese student had talked to his girlfriend.

A taxi? Why didn’t anyone call an ambulance?

LOL,
Because an ambulance after 5PM in Japan is a good way to get a tour of your local hospitals, all of which turn you away, until you die.

Japan is a country with very low rate of crimes not to mention murder. Being a villain is not simply characteristic of Japan mentality. I thing their jail are mostly empty.

Are club owners not legally responsible to report crimes that involve a person getting bludgeoned in the back of the head rendering them unconscious?

It’s pretty normal reaction of the guy that ended up in tragedy later on. I could do worse if anyone approached my girlfriend.

It’s not a normal reaction at all. It’s a major indication of psychological insecurity.

Talking to a girlfriend of chinpira from Amagasaki in a club…
It’s something that Japanese males would never try to do.

So Japanese people have psychic powers and know which girls are dating “unemployed” thugs from Amagasaki, and avoid talking to them?
I wish I had that useful psychic power. >:[
Or maybe the Japanese government should send more information to foreign graduate students about “Dangerous Japan”, for example people from Amagasaki and Kishiwada are dangerous…oh, I forgot, only GAIJIN are dangerous, Japan is “safety country” >:[
At this rate I think more gaijin are be murdered by Japanese people than the other way around.
-dead rich American guy in Roppongi killed by bouncer
-chopped up Philipina girl, killed by someone who was lightly jailed for CHOPPING UP A PHILIPINA GIRL a few years ago
-dead Chinese grad student with bad luck
Any more?

It’s unfortunate but natives tend to have better communication skills than non-natives. To avoid unexpected danger, communication skills for reading facial expression of others and for understanding whispers from others would be needed in such places like some clubs where chinpira thugs frequent. Psychic powers are optional.
Anyway majority of foreigners living in Japan would perhaps have better communication skills than you.

Just yesterday Japanese old man was killed by a Chinese young man in Japan. (Yomiuri 21th May)
Allegedly Japanese woman was killed by a Nepalese man
(Japan today 07th May)
In Philippine, a Japanese woman was killed by his Philippine.
(April 4th Asahi)
Every incident was unfortunate, but does it show at this rate more Japanese are murdered by gajin than the other way around?
And should Japanese government send more information that Gaijins are dangerous?
Any more?

I think you all miss the point here.
Crimes happen anywhere. Whether it’s a Chinese youth or a Japanese, it’s sad when a human life goes off for such a stupid reason.
Here’s what’s more important: He was knocked out. From the back. In the club! NO one DID ANYTHING! They were waiting for him to come up. No one called an ambulance. Instead, they proposed him to call a taxi…
Why didn’t he call the ambulance himself?
Good question – because he knew it would never come. Especially for a foreigner. Especially for a CHINESE foreigner.
That’s why he couldn’t call neither the police, nor the ambulance. Left alone in his room, he died alone with no chance of help from anywhere.
When are Japanese people going to think over their attitude towards foreigners?
