Giant Panda Dies

The oldest giant panda in Japan has died:
Ling Ling was 22 years and seven months old, equivalent to about 70 human years, the Ueno Zoo said. It said he was the fifth-oldest known male panda in the world.
Ling Ling had lost his appetite and strength because of his old age, and recently suffered from heart and kidney problems, zoo official Motoyasu Ida said.
Keepers and visitors mourned the panda, which was the zoo’s most popular attraction for more than 15 years. Public broadcaster NHK showed many visitors writing condolence messages, with some brushing away tears.
Ida said an autopsy found Ling Ling died of heart failure.

In a cyber cafe somewhere in bumfuck China, a person is starting a rumor that the Japanese killed Ling Ling.
Haha. Who wants to bet me?
That would make a nice throw rug.
In a cyber café somewhere in !@#$ Japan, a narrow minded person is starting to comment without using his/her mind..
Please stop china bashing..it’s getting boring day by day….
Baawwwwwwwwwwww.
Quit crying. Its a joke.
I bet that if there was some country out there that hunted pandas Japanese people would be exasperated at the “barbaric practice” of hunting such “beautiful animals” =P
That’s a shame. I saw that panda seven years ago during my first visit to Japan, and my wife and I were considering another visit next month while we’re in Tokyo. She never got a chance to see him.
To be honest, he looked dead seven years ago, but it was a really hot July day.
