Japan Photo of the Week: Cherry Blossoms at Shinjuku Gyoen

April 26th, 2008 by Evan

This is the last Saturday in April, so I have one more cherry blossom photo for you. I mentioned last week I went to Chidorigafuchi, well after that I headed over to Shinjuku Gyoen.

Shinjuku Gyoen is a HUGE park in Shinjuku, Tokyo. As you can tell, I went just after the “peak” time to see the cherry blossoms as some of the blossoms have already fallen…but there were still enough blossoms on the trees to make it seem they were still in full bloom. For me, it is this time that is actually the peak or best time to see the cherry blossoms. Actually, I think if I waited one more day it would have been just perfect, but anyway, take a peak at Japan Photo Guide for more information and photos of Shinjuku Gyoen or see all the photos at the gallery.

This photograph was taken by Evan Pike.
