I understand the whole Tibet thing and fight for human rights in China overall, but after reading this, seriously it's depressing especially considering I remember being at varsity and watching the torch come through our town on the way to Atlanta in 96, it was an awesome moment, now it's turned into a farce and really it's everyone's fault that it's turned out this way.... It is truly sad what this torch run has become. Sending a squad of 8 cops on a stakeout to catch a knife-wielding, cop-taunting maniac before he goes out stabbing people again? Nah, don't bother sending any cops who can actually chase the guy a couple hundred meters when he shows up and runs off to the next crime scene after stabbing one of your cop pals. So, the police officers that can actually RUN get assigned to guard a burning stick.
