Photo Of Japanese Journalist’s Death Wins Pulitzer Prize
The famous photo of Kenji Nagai dying after being shot by Burmese troops has won a Pulitzer Prize:
Reuters won the Pulitzer Prize for breaking news photography on Monday for a picture of a Japanese videographer killed during a demonstration in Myanmar.
Adrees Latif won for “his dramatic photograph of the Japanese videographer, sprawled on the pavement, fatally wounded during a street demonstration in Myanmar,” the Pulitzer Prize board said.

I feel bad for Kenji Nagai, but at least something good came out of it.
Kenji should have gotten something for continuing doing his job even after he got shot, and in the end died.

He’s holding his camera while he’s on the ground? That’s some work dedication, probably egged them on to shoot him too O_o

The award definitely gives it a larger pedestal in history – what was one of those Pulitzer pictures from Vietnam… a POW looking back at a hidden photographer?
