Japan Photo of the Week: Hanami
The last two weeks I have shown you two of my favorite places to see cherry blossoms, this week I wanna bring up the tradition of hanami.
If you are in Japan, it is just a matter of time before you will be participating in hanami, which literally means, “flower viewing.” Basically, hanami is a gathering with friends, co-workers and/or family where you sit under the cherry blossoms eating and drinking the night away. With the right people it is a wonderful time! To see more cherry blossom photos, check out the gallery.
This photograph was taken by Evan Pike.
