A map of pollen in Japan
Dreaded kafunshou (hay fever) season is upon us. To help you predict if you need to pop a few Benadryl before you go out the door, there is a map service, with cute icons demarcating pollen severity, which you can find here. It updates with information gathered from posts throughout the country.
Many of my officemates are being hit hard right now. I seem to be mostly immune at the moment, but it’s only a matter of time before it gets me again, as it has in the past.

I was sick for the first three months when I came to Japan until I started taking Allegra. Coming from backwoods America to a Megalopolis is never good on your sinuses.

I’ve been tested to be very allergic to some japanese hay, but while i was living there i had no symptoms at all.

If i were a japanese male i’d feel slightly annoyed with the excessive cuteness, that shit mostly just pisses me off nothing else, i mean the whole country isn’t made up of 5 year olds for gods sake.

If you grew up in a culture with so much cute. It probably wouldn’t make you as angry. Since you grew up with it, you probably learned to either tolerate it or ignore it long ago.
