LONDON–The International Whaling Commission (IWC) issued a unanimous statement here Saturday condemning the U.S. anti-whaling group Sea Shepherd Conservation Society.
It referred to the group hurling bottles at a Japanese research-whaling vessel in Antarctic waters last week, injuring three people.
Another whaling news story today mentions some of the bizarre research Japan has been conducting through its whaling program, including attempts to cross-bread cows and whales.

I posted this video on youtube. I am an Australian anti whaling protester from Coffs Harbour in Australia. The whales humpback whales cruise past my house migrating to the sanctuary each year. I just want people here to know that we in Australia do not hate Japanese, in fact I have posted another video stating the fact that we really like Japanese in Australia and you are all welcome. Your government is spreading racist propaganda and calling us racist because Australia is opposed to whaling. We do not appreciate you whaling in our territorial waters especially the whale sanctuary as you would not like us fishing in your waters. Japan has a long history of illegal long line fishing in Australian waters and as you would appreciate we are not happy about it as our own fisherman have their strongly enforced licences and quota’s. Please do not believe the racist propaganda being spread by your government we are a very ethnically diverse nation who welcomes world cultures. We just see through the Japanese government lie of Scientific whaling. Sea Shepard is enforcing our laws and throwing rancid butter at the whaling crew in the sanctuary, not acid. Your coastguard was sent to attempt to murder Paul Watson inside Australian territorial waters in the whale sanctuary using Japanese taxpayers money. I am sorry if you disagree with me but facts are facts.
Ps despite what you think of it, I wrote and recorded the song as a tribute and no one from sea Shepard asked me to , it was done by my me independent from the organisation.
The Japanese government is not spreading any racist propaganda. If you come to Japan you will know it.
If you are a civilized person, you wouldn’t through anything at somebody’s face. A civilized person would sit down and talk. The guy from SS is not.
For the last time, Australia can’t just unilaterally declare a peace of international waters as “whale sanctuary”! That’s exactly what it is to almost every other nation, international waters.
By the way the Japanese government definitely does not engage in any racist propaganda. In fact I haven’t seen anything remotely racist or even unbalanced in Japanese media. But I have seen Australian newscasters using emotive phrases like “slaughter in Australian waters” (not even mentioning that the claim is recognised only by very few countries) and the government (!) claiming that a picture of two killed whales were mother and child without any basis whatsoever. Even if they were mother and child it would be totally irrelevant, it’s just another emotive argument like “whales are beautiful!”
Of course you’ll find lots of racist loonies in Japanese forums like 2Chan, but same goes for anonymous online forums in any country.
Dimentagon if you vehemently deny the imputation of racism, you should condemn Paul Watson.

What have you got to say for yourself? Antarctic whaling is just an emotional or territorial issue, but racism is a HUMAN-RIGHTS issue.

unless the japanese coast had a WORLD-CLASS marksman firing a handgun ( which is the size of the bullet shown in the video), then the whole controversy about the captain being shot at in the open ocean is completely and blatantly fabricated. any person who has ever been on the open ocean knows just how violent the boat can rock,this would make it quite difficult to deliver A PINPOINT SHOT TO THE HEART as shown in the video. furthermore any bullet that is fired from a gun accurate enough to even begin to do that, would penetrate that light civilian style vest like wet paper. this is why i believe they simply just shot at a vest a filmed him digging it out of the vest after the fact.

I don’t see any problem with quoting readers’ comments. Once you type something in and hit the “Add comment” button, you have made your views public. If you don’t want other people to read what you’ve written, write it on a private forum somewhere.
