Aren’t the manager supposed to filter questions and prepare the answers?

I wonder about this too…I also wondered about this when Koda Kumi made that infamous comment.

I don’t think Shokotan’s comment was meant to be offensive, however. She lost her father at a young age, and one of the victims was only a year younger than her, and so I could understand her feelings about this possible death. Unlike what I felt about KK’s comment, I don’t think it’s that big a deal and she did apologize both on the show and on her blog (and her apology was a lot better than KK’s IMO), and looking at the highly-ranked YouTube comments and the threads at the Shokotan mixi community about this incident, she still has a lot of loyal fans supporting her. I’m sure that she’ll be able to get through this and that she won’t have to be suspended for a while like KK.

But how come such situation can happen?
What was her manager doing?

(Just as I thought, the media is making too big a deal out of this. There wasn’t anything in the statement that had to be criticized that much. It’s OK.)

Not because she’s a cute girl as opposed to a hairy man, but what can it do at this point?
