TV Program: Foreigners Like Visiting Japan
A random video discovered while surfing on YouTube (summary below):
The article “Amid Japan’s richness there are a thousand holidays to be had” is quoted from to show just how Japan is a great place to visit. The celebrity panelists then comment on how unfortunate it is that so many Japanese are spending their holidays abroad instead of traveling inside of Japan.
Foreign panelists also comment on the topic, saying the following:
- The service at Japanese onsen inns is amazing. The serving of meals in guest rooms is particularly great.
- Japanese food is delicious. Foreign tourists would probably be surprised with how inexpensive it is to dine at restaurants in Japan.
- it feels great when the staff at Japanese restaurants greets customers with “irasshaimase!”
- Staff at McDonald’s in the U.K. never greet customers with a smile.
- Japan’s train system is very convenient and its multi-lingual signs are very helpful to foreigners.
- No tipping custom = happiness.
Interesting side note: Benjamin Fulford, a Canadian who writes loony conspiracy theory books in Japanese, is one of the panel members!
