Looks like a much easier way to make a meal for people like me who are quite bad at cooking. Just do minimal prep in the dish thing, put it in the cooker, and let it go to work. Nice.

Actually my father has cooked food in rice cookers all the time and they taste very well, he taught me how to make a good skurt steak by putting 2 jars of tomato, 2 small bottle of mojo, cranberry juice and a litle balsamic vinaeger, then just put them all in and cook

It seems you need a rice cooker that comes with its own timer, I own a cooker but one that cooks without a timer – just pops from cooked to Warm when its completed with the rice.

Will attempt it but wonder what the outcome will be.
