The other day, a news program mentioned that this year’s most-played Christmas song in Japan is Tatsuro Yamashita’s “Christmas Eve.” So, without further ado, here is its music video:
Merry Christmas!

Japan has some pretty good Christmas songs.
Tatsuro Yamashita’s “Christmas Eve” is great and here are 2 more to check out:
1. Koibito Ga Santa Claus (My Darling is Santa Claus) by Matsutoya Yumi (Yuming).
2. Winter Song by Dreams Come True.

I’m amazed that anything was played more than the insufferable Mariah Carey song – “All I Want for Christmas is You” or the recent, equally unbearable cover of it by some pop starlet. Over the past few weeks, I was starting to become convinced that there were no longer any other songs in all the land.

Ah, what a beautiful song! Christmas is over now, but I’m bookmarking this for next year.
