Santas Clean Up Shinjuku

The Japanese custom of winter cleaning is combined with Christmas in this event, which was held the other day in Shinjuku:

In addition to cleaning up the streets, the Santas also handed out 6000 eco bags to onlookers.

Say what you will about the Japanese, but as a society more often than not they have their priorities straight.
